About the Course

What is included in the 120-hour TEFL/TESOL course?

Our course includes 120 in-class training hours, teaching methodology, lesson planning, classroom management, language awareness (grammar, phonology), Thai culture integration, teaching practice with real students, assessments, certification and full job placement support.

Do I need any teaching experience?

No. The course is designed for beginners. Most trainees have never taught before — we train you step-by-step.

What age groups will I learn to teach?

We prepare you to teach all levels, but most placements are in Kindergarten and Primary schools, where demand is highest.

How intensive is the 4-week program?

It is a full-time, Monday–Friday course. Expect classroom hours, teaching practice, and homework such as preparing lesson plans. It is intensive, but very manageable.

Is the certificate internationally recognized?

Yes. You receive a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate issued by Education House Language School, approved by the Thai Ministry of Education.

It is accepted by schools across Thailand and internationally.

Job Placement

Is job placement really guaranteed?

Yes. If you complete the course and meet basic professional expectations, we guarantee a paid teaching placement at one of our partner schools.

Where are the placement schools located?

We place teachers in:

Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Ayutthaya, and Nonthaburi, depending on availability.

What salary can I expect?

Typical starting salaries range from 38,000–40,000 THB per month, depending on location, school type, hours, and your qualifications.

Do you help with interviews?

Yes — we prepare your résumé, coach you for interviews, and help you understand Thai school expectations.

Can I choose where I want to teach?

We consider your preference, but placements depend on availability and school schedules. We aim to match you with a school where you will succeed.

How long is the teaching contract?

Most contracts are:

  • 1 semester (4.5 - 5 months) or
  • 1 full school year (9.5 - 10 months)

You also get 50% of your course fee refunded if you complete 1 semester and 100% course fee refund when you complete a full school term.

Visa & Legal Requirements

Do I get a visa for the TEFL course?

Yes. As a Ministry of Education–approved school, we can sponsor your ED (Education) Visa for the duration of the TEFL course.

What about the work visa after I get placed?

Your placement school will sponsor your Non-B visa and work permit, with our support throughout the process.

Do I need a background check?

A basic police clearance from your home country is often required for the work permit depending on nationality.

Accommodation & Living in Thailand

Do you provide accommodation?

Accommodation is not included, but we guide you on finding safe, affordable apartments near your training center or placement school.

How much does it cost to live in Thailand?

Most teachers spend:

  • 6,000–12,000 THB/month for rent
  • 200–300 THB/day for food
  • 1,000–2,000 THB/month for utilities

Thailand is very affordable compared to Western countries.

Is Thailand safe?

Yes. Thailand is one of the safest countries in Asia. Normal precautions apply, but most areas are extremely safe for foreigners.

During the TEFL Course

What is the daily schedule?

Typically 9:00–16:00 including breaks. Teaching practice may take place inside our school or at partner schools.

Will I teach real students?

Yes — you will teach several observed lessons to Thai learners. This is one of the most valuable elements of the course.

What should I wear?

If training is conducted in-house and no practial teaching with real student, then casual attire is okay.

But on day with practical teaching with Thai students professional attire is required.

For men: collared shirt, trousers, closed shoes.

For women: modest blouses/dresses, skirts/pants below the knee.

Thai schools value professional presentation.

Can schedule changes happen?

Yes, minor adjustments may occur to ensure the best learning outcome for participants.

After the Course

How soon will I start teaching?

You typically start at the beginning of a Thai school term (May or October).

This ensures a smoother experience for both teachers and students.

Do I get continued support after placement?

Yes. Our team checks in regularly to ensure you are comfortable, supported, and succeeding at your school.

Can I stay longer than one term?

Absolutely — many teachers stay for several years, renew their contracts.

Payments & Refunds

What is the TEFL Completion Reward?

We want good and reliable teachers and want to encourse teachers to stay longer by offering a refund on the course fee based on the lenght of your stay and no hidden requirements besides completing a semester or a term.

  • Complete 1 semester → 50% TEFL Course Fee refund
  • Complete 1 school term → 100% TEFL Course Fee refund

Travel & Lifestyle Questions

Can I travel during weekends or holidays?

Yes. Many teachers explore Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Krabi, Phuket, and nearby countries (Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia) during school breaks.

Is Thai food suitable for foreigners?

Absolutely — Thailand has endless food options, from street food to international restaurants. You will quickly find your favorites.

Do I need to speak Thai?

No. English is used in classrooms and widely understood in cities. Learning a few Thai phrases is helpful and appreciated which we will cover based on the program you sign up for.
